We have all heard how fake most of the house flipping TV shows are.

They, and I, are likely to have seen all the flip shows on TV, ranging from absolute newbie flip, to seasoned professional flips.And the outcomes, even for the pros, are NOT always pretty to watch! 

Turn off the tv. 

nice job, Ive done many in this area, and yours is first class. the tv shows make it look easy, but its a lot of work.

Interestingly, a few weeks after I was researching this river (it's called a "Brook", how is that for misleading) flooded and there was TV footage of people's sofas floating. 

For a few of the multi-familys and a couple commercial projects, I commisioned art murals by very highly professional muralists to do large blank walls both interior (like the middle landing on a switch-back staircase) and exterior... usually trompe l'oeil painted-on windows and architectural features that weren't actually there.It was always wildly well-received and created a bit of a buzz, having articles written with photos in the local paper, and we were chosen to do a special small but high-profile project that was on local cable TV. 

Get dressed, head into office, turn on coffee that was set to go the night before, open computer review list of priorities made last night before going to bed, review necessary contacts for the day, begin process of working through priority list.Personally I like to get up make toast and coffee and set myself down in front of the TV.

I’m in a little bit of a different position here - I’m not an investor myself, but I’m a TV producer/casting director who’s worked on quite a few real estate/build shows (so it’s sort of adjacent, right?).

They check out these shows on TV and think you can remodel an entire home for 15k.
