What I'm trying to understand is how I go about choosing what to put inside my property:Bathroom-Faucets & Sinks-Mirrors-Bathtubs & Showers-Vanities & Cabinets-ToiletsKitchen-Faucets & Sinks-Storage/Organization -Countertops & Backsplashes-IslandsLighting-Ceiling Fans-Outdoor Lighting-Chandeliers & Pendents-Recessed & Flush Mount FixturesFlooring-Hardwood-Tile-Stair TreadsThese are the kinds of things I have no idea how to decide upon.

When the recession hit, it showed who had solid real estate businesses vs. who was just getting by because the market was climbing so fast.

It happened during the Great Recession because people were desperate to sell. 

Also in my opinion those low cap rate zones don't get hit as hard in recessions for the most part..  

We're retired and after what we spent redoing this house, the recession and what we've put in trying to keep the house, there is no income and no savings except for a bit of safe pension $ that they can't get to and our social Security.

They didn’t just stay afloat; they actually grew and expanded during the depression.They grew during a depression — and one that was far worse than the recession we are just now starting to emerge from (not to downplay its seriousness at all, of course).The point is: you have a choice.

The real estate we bought during the last recession has appreciated tremendously.

I would love to put in recessed lights, but I don't want to go overboard.  

If I was looking for turnkey companies I'd like to invest in areas that didn't see a huge price decrease in our most recent recession.

From last two years i was in real state business , i earned huge profits in begining so to invest more i picked up large amount of money from market at 20% annual interest and invested all in real estate  and just after that huge recession hits the market now my properties are not selling investors are demanding their money and i am in huge debt.
