A gun owner here is 10 times more likely of having a gun incident shooting themselves or someone in thier household than shooting an intruder or defending themselves in a gun fight.I agree that guns will always be out there, I really don't think any sane person advocates the taking of all guns, I don't.While I don't see any real need for a 30 round magazine, since I own an AR-15 I have several.....loading is kind of a pain.

I will be having surgery in a couple months, at which point, manual labor will once again be feasible.I realize that basic construction is far from rocket science, but I did not grow up in a very handy household and I think that as a result of that, I am intimidated by carpentry, plumbing, electric, etc.

If the letter made reference to a foreclosure or financial trouble, it may have been read by someone else in the household that did not know about the financial problems.

In some areas, for every 3-4 displaced families, there was one property that had never been occupied.Now that we've sifted out of the bulk of foreclosures and normal household formation has eaten up some of that overbuilt inventory - the rental market is getting back to 'normal' much quicker than the buying markets.

Though prices in southern California are extremely high in most areas, the upside is that we have a great, broad based economy, high median household incomes (meaning people can afford the rents) perfect year round weather that draws people from around the world when their area is having extreme cold, plus all the amusements, sports, recreation, etc. imaginable!

It's a Rorshach test in that like the psychologist's ink blot test, what you think of it depends on one's unique vantage point.I'll generalize a bit here, but many folks from the coasts are used to very high housing costs and can't quite buy into the idea that a $50K house doesn't have to be in a bad neighborhood.There's a community near me with $50K median price houses, $50K median household income and average monthly rent of $900 - $1100.
