If wearing really expensive clothes and driving a newer and more luxurious car make you feel better and if you feel it truly adds value to your life, then that's fine. 

It sounds like moving to the Bahamas has allowed you to do that indefinitely.

If they're always late on rent then expect the headaches/hassles to continue indefinitely until you get them out of your property.I had one like this a couple years ago and it stressed me to no end for 6+ months and ultimately ended in eviction.

There are several ways around stalling those foreclosures, but not indefinitely, and they come with their own set of risks when helping a homeowner stall it.
