Short term I want a total (including the current two) of 6 properties, 5 generating cash flow, by first quarter of 2018.I kind of fell into the first investment by just renting my house instead of selling it when I got orders.

New Hampshire has a "Business Profits Tax" of 8.5% (in 2012) and Tennessee has a "Franchise Tax" based on a defined Net Worth of the property and an "Excise Tax" of 6.5% (in 2012) of Taxable Income, with quarterly withholding.

If there is enough height for a very small quarter round stained close to the Allure you could liquid nail that to the sliding door base and just off the allure flooring.

Besides the 2 East MA REIA meetings you heard about in that other thread, there is the Black Diamond meeting in Waltham (2nd location in Worcester) that @Ann Bellamy organizes, there is the Boston AREIA in Medford, @Justin Silverio runs a quarterly unofficial BP meetup in (Woburn though the next meeting is onsite at a just completed project in Reading), the NEREIA in Chelmsford, on the North Shore @Mike Hurney has a couple meetings and there are a few other options as well.

I was also thinking of getting a washer / dryer upstairs to improve the living quarters, this would be major and the tenants upstairs are long term.
