They look the same as they did 20 years ago, other than the hard water stains where the sprinklers hit them.

Here is one of my Gel Stain projects around the house.

This carpet did have a stubborn stain and it looked like something they would use in an industrial building with a strange pattern.

A couple people have said other places they looked at had water stains on the ceiling, chipped paint and all the fixtures looked old (most of mine are all new with ceiling fans in every bedroom) for around the same price.

Are you talking you bought cabinets raw that have to be stained or just throwing some paint over them??

Initial reviews on the Behr product has complaints about the product staining and you can't clean it.

I tore it completely out and stained the concrete walls.

You don't have to be a master contractor to see if a house sits crooked, if the foundation has cracks, if the roof shingles are curling, if the ceilings are water stained, etc.  

The carpet was still stained and she refused to surrender the key saying that she will leave it in the drawer of the apartment when she has a chance to clean the carpet.
