Restoring them to the architectual intent makes good sense.Financially speaking it goes against a basic principle in real estate - the pieces are worth more sold individually than the entire sum - in other words: buy by the acre, sell by the foot.

For bugs and pests, they can infest every property and if your structure is diminished and cost of restoration is blasting the rehab budget, then that's a no brainer.

Hi all, I ended up making an offer on a 1575 sq ft 3 BR/2 bath fixer upper in West Kensington that seems to have good bones but needs TLC (paint, floors - hopefully can restore original hardwood, kitchen, update baths, central AC).
