The self-employed before claimed a lot of income that didn't really exist so we are being punished for the criminals of the past.   

It may be time to tighten up the due diligence on new acquisitions and portfolio management, as the market might be more punishing in the years to come.  

I don't see how it would be terribly unlawful.

Housing discrimination based on familial status is unlawful, hence you can get a  mortgage even while temporarily out of work on maternity leave.

I truly feel so bad for this poor lady and hope that this man is severely punished for this kind of behavior. 

This will only get YOU into trouble.Find and follow the Unlawful Detainer case rules OR immediately find and engage a local eviction company.There's nothing to be gained by procrastinating or attempting to "heal the relationship" - - it only gets worse :sigh:

I think your idea of punishing the movie producer is like holding beer companies accountable for drunk driving or gun companies accountable for murder.

and punish all the evil fund managers.
