However, now that you've expressed a safety concern to him, letting him know of the potential for liability, I think he's left himself open for a claim if anything happens now, for not addressing it.In the meantime, I think I'd install something like the grill I linked to above.

Maybe you gave Uncle Bob a steak dinner for the Home Depot paint receipt but you are claiming the paint as a business expense.

Bring out a grill, some burgers n dogs etc......

Example cannot order 3 dollar app and then want 20 steak free.What this does is release the barrier to trying your food.

You can always add an addendum to your "official" contract/lease with things like "No grilling on decks"etc. 

You cannot stereotype Section 8 residents any more accurately than classifying all steaks in the same group.

Pot smokers, partiers, people fighting/screaming/throwing things at each other, dogs that bark and howl all day and whine all night, unsupervised teenagers lighting backyard bonfires in the bbq grill while mom away at work, etc.
