We have signed up to attend an event on Thursday, and we would really like some feedback from those of you who are in the know whether or not affiliating with this group is worthwhile.

Simply taking the classes and passing the test is not enough - you need to be affiliated w/a brokerage.In CT, a salesperson is never a direct employee of a broker; they are always independent contractors, though there are certainly office rules.

We understand that there can be a cost affiliated with some groups, we aren't trying to be cheep we just to want to be taken advantage of.So I guess I'm asking if anyone has any advice on what to look for in a group and what to look out for.
