Are they small holes that once you patch with spackle and touch up with paint and a small brush are barely noticeable? 

If funds are limited you can buy a tiny house and put it on a small patch of land outside of town or in an RV park and rent it out or STR.

The folks in these neighborhoods don't always have the best jobs, and often times they will hit a rough patch.

Patching the hole is a very easy DIY fix or a handyman can do it for very little. 

There will be rough patches during the journey but it it absolutely pays off!   

I don’t use them for my usual rehab (paint & carpet, appliances, hole patching, landscaping, etc…)

I just patched it with a piece of plywood screwed around the hole after removing the coon & her babies last year and am now attempting to sell the home AS IS. 

Materials included in quote.Remove old lights and install (7) customer supplied new ones.Remove (1) old fan and install customer supplied new one.Install (1) new switch and outlet for dishwasher.Run new wire up and install (1) new box for range hood.Drywall patching and painting to be done by other contractors.

It has cedar siding that is rotten and needs to be replaced but the HOA is insistent on "patching" instead of replacing it.

It’s much easier to patch and fix with the popcorn gone.
