This also leads owners to ASSUME simpler is better when it comes to management contracts.

Another way to learn how to use other peoples money is to joint venture with someone.

That could lead to an inspection, but they can also talk to the tenant and explain if they don't follow the terms of the lease, then they are at risk of having to move or worse, lose their housing vouchers.

What Jayme said would lead me to tell you to possibly stay there if you wanted to?

If it is roots, joint corrosion, etc we get it chained which has some risk but clears the drain of anything except pipe breakage that would cause a clog.Good luck
