Don't forget the cost of renovation, furnishing the house, and the amount of time you spend answering calls, booking stays, dealing with problems, cleaning, or whatever else is involved.It seems like a lot of money to spend for that kind of income.

It seems like you would have to pay the contractors as though they were employees when you furnish the materials and tools, and direct them in what to do.

The other issue is unless you are buying furnished you will need to furnish a STR so make sure you hold that money in reserve as well.

We’re getting so many nomad-worker tech-bro types moving here that medium-term furnished “executive” rentals in prime locations can fetch up to $30k/month (needs to be in a blue-chip location with super high-end luxury finishes/appliances/features obviously to rent for that much, and it’s seasonal, but still, it’s crazy).
