A young couple (early 20's) told me that they were going to have a kid, and wanted to know where they could find a doctor to monitor her term. 

Background: I'm a medical doctor currently getting my MBA.  

Both my parents are doctors. 

The only thing I like better than carpet in common area stairs is the rubbery flooring (with the grip option) that you see sometimes in commercial spaces (think doctor's offices, hospitals, etc.).

I don't fear not having tenants because doctors, nurses need a place to stay and that work cant be done remotely.

We've built a very successful portfolio this way that has allowed us to leave our professional careers as doctors. 

He has a note from a doctor claiming he 'has anxiety and would benefit from an emotional support animal (dog) in his duplex' - he keeps two dogs in the apartment that caused significant damage inside the unit over time. 

Corporate housing is interesting - usually higher rents, all inclusive (utilities usually included) and everything paid by a company for longer than normal rental terms. (1 I looked at in NM $1800/mo rent included everything - elec, gas, cable, internet - paid by a hospital for a doctor doing elective surgery for 15 to 18 months at a time plus laundry income.

We think the surrounding UNMC area is going to blow up even more than it already is with all of the new developments and added staff, so we decided to deck this house out and BRRRR to keep it as a long term rental for Doctors and medical staff.
