If the dips are not too deep or wide, the click floor should hold-up, otherwise, it will eventually come apart and/or crack where it has no underlaying support.The thinner glue-down or self-adhearing planks will follow the contours of the floor quite faithfully ... often emphasizing all the hills and valleys.If possibly, applying a little self-levaler or floor patch to the subfloor first will yield a better result with your finish floor.

Getting yourself through escrow without being taken advantage of or sued will be your biggest challenge, and FSBO's attract sharks like blood in the water out here, so you'll want to be careful.

You can still do a plank subfloor with a thinner maple covering over that.
