*Your Debt to Income ratio is the measure of your total expenses divided by your net income.

Any course of action or any plan needs to be able to mitigate risk with the inclusion of various control measures.

I have read conflicting opinions on both of these metrics when trying to pre-determine which is a good measurement of whether this will be a good investment or not.

Scoping damage is looking at a room and being able to capture the data on what is damaged, what are its measurements and does it need to be repaired or can it be fixed in place. 

We dont have statistics on this, but intuitively, we are seeing a measurable increase in the number of applicants moving to our suburban neighborhoods. 

You can compare this measurement to similar investments to determine whether your equity is earning the most it can at any given time. 

You can also get pretty close with overhead measurements from Google Earth, although math is required, and don't forget to subtract the garage, but ideally if you get to the point of making an offer you will have seen the house and/ or the owner will tell you how big it is.
