Hi all, I'm visiting Houston Texas on Tues/Wed next week 2/13/18 and 2/14/18 and am interested in meeting up with an agent to discuss the local market.

We also want to make the 10 acres where the rentals will be an event space for photoshoots, small weddings, bridal shower glamping etc, so there is an entire business aspect to this.

I love Kaua'i, we were just there last month and attended a wedding at the Anini Beach house it was beautiful.

I am a wedding videographer but have also dabbled in photo and video content for fitness influencers, commercial business, and realtors.

Probably time to consider the old adage "Buy at the funeral, sell at the wedding".

THAT SAID... you can turn a space into a commercial event space (think: mico weddings, intimate parties, photoshoots), if you change zoning for the property.

I notice it's almost always the low-income, paycheck-to-paycheck tenants that have emergency expenses like flying to Las Vegas for Aunt Bernice's funeral or their brothers wedding that apparently just popped up with no notice. 

I've been holding off until after the wedding to really dive in, but I've been doing a lot of reading and research in the meantime.

It's incredible how many funerals and wedding contractors go to!

It was though, but I learned three important things: property managers need to be micromanaged, contractors go to more weddings and funerals than any other group of people on the planet and it takes much, much more of my time than expected.
