I notice it's almost always the low-income, paycheck-to-paycheck tenants that have emergency expenses like flying to Las Vegas for Aunt Bernice's funeral or their brothers wedding that apparently just popped up with no notice.

It was though, but I learned three important things: property managers need to be micromanaged, contractors go to more weddings and funerals than any other group of people on the planet and it takes much, much more of my time than expected.
