I'm from Indy living in Carmel. 

I'd pick the closing day if they already live there, but haven't signed the lease.

It's near where I live though.

On the flip side, if you've got a bunch of Section 8 tenants living in a building that's in a neighborhood where a lot of the tenant base has good jobs, high credit scores, and are generally reliable people, you've got the most risky tenants in that tenant base and that ain't what ya want.

OK, good luck with that if you have easily accessible assets like a home you don't live in.Meanwhile, what are the odds a term life insurance policy pays out?

I suppose I would not be looking for a primary residence immediately as I won’t live in it while I’m still living overseas.

And the tenants still lived there, they had just been putting old mattresses, broken furniture, and crud there for years.
