We are looking to rent our properties to visiting nurses and the like. 

We visited both and Roseville seemed much nicer. 

I visited Fort Wayne this past weekend to research the neighborhoods and get a feel for the market.

Start visiting building sites so you can meet the trades and see finishouts in different price ranges.

We've had a number of inquiries and a few visit the home.

Look at places like Texas, Florida, or parts of the Midwest for better returns.The key is building a strong local team (property manager, agent, contractors), visiting the market if possible, and making sure the numbers work after management costs.
