At least comparing to my peers. 5. self growth, not just skills but just like any successful business, there will be undoubtedly difficult going down this path, but the willingness to push through when things are hard, when things goes wrong, and dealing with each problem with absolute determination to solve it. we talk about a lot that its so important to get our first deal for people that observing on the side line vs actually committing on doing their first deal. same idea here, you can work for a developer for years and wait for the right moment to start your own or you can just build a team around you and just do it. dCons:1.

It’s almost like they are fighting for market share of our property or that a HomeAway has fallen off a cliff.Anyway, as a relative newcomer to STR, I was steered to listing on Homeaway as the aggregator (not VRBO) and I notice that I cannot access (edit) my listing on VRBO... only on HomeAway.In the background Expedia seems to be doubling down on VRBO and losing focus on HomeAway - I am curious if others have observed this and if there is a way to fully activate myself as an owner on the VRBO site?

Disclaimer..I am not working with an agent or another “deal finder”, just my own observations from knowing the town well, and Zillow, so I know there’s probably a lot I don’t see.So, I guess my question is...how true and real is this for the person starting out with limited capital & experience to enable some creative solutions?

That would be great 👍🏻 I think the end results of this way of thinking may be the same as when people are trying to "time the market' and avoid the "inevitable correction", but learning to think and act based on the observable, knowable facts instead of market-hype fueled by gurus who are trying desperately not to get caught unawares like in 2007.
