Not all states allow for "anonymous" LLCs though.I do have a similar issue as yourself though, with names still being linked in certain databases.

Just stay off the web.Craigslist, Facebook, LinkedIn, Connect Investors, and the like are crawling with scammers.

I had a lender contact me from LinkedIn and offer me to use his money but when it came time to pull the trigger he wasn't ready, so I am moving on.  

It is easy to research people on here, LinkedIn, Facebook etc.

In a Linked-In profile he claims to be a Commander of a Communications Squadron in the U.S.

If you want free I would turn to Social media. particularly Facebook, LinkedIn, learn how to set up your profile to attract people then learn where to go looking for your ideal customer.
