They actually have some 'better' features in that they have to survive being transported to the job site, so framing tends to be larger and in some areas doubled up to keep it ridge during transport. 

If you leave ridges just let it dry and shave it off with a putty knife.

A nice example of this is a whole bunch of apartment buildings I own on Ridge Rd between Biddulph and Denison.
