Politically none of the politicians can be on record as backing down from it.

They're going to move someplace where the cost of operating is low, where they will get the biggest bribe  incentive to move there, and where the politicians are "malleable."

I sometimes think the best thing that could happen to Baltimore is to go into bankruptcy and have a receiver take control and throw out the incompetent politicians and bureaucrats.  

It's just like the politicians that push for "affordable housing" developments or windmills, but they won't put them in their own neighborhood.

Donald on BiggerPockets, we're not politicians here.I happened to be of the opinion that interest earned by professional private lenders or hard money lenders is ordinary income for their lending businesses (as in "in the business of lending money"), as distinct from portfolio income on passive investments and casual loans.Eamonn - please correct me if I'm wrong and explain how would you classify the income and expenses of a HM lender, let's say operating as a partnership. 

The main reason is that a media sensationalized police shooting caused the politicians to make alot of changes that brought proactive policing to a halt.

Interesting how people get impressed by politicians decisions or by the media.

The politicians tend to lean towards social issues so property rights and profits for hard work and taking risk aren't valued as high.
