If someone has a low score because they've had problems with cable/cell phone companies, gym memberships, medical expenses etc. but have always paid rents I'd consider them.

I invest in merchandise I can find locally (camera/filming equipment, IT equipment, inventory liquidations, video games, audio equipment etc.) purchasing from auctions and locals looking to sell and then sell the merchandise on my eBay or Amazon store.

I saw on another post where the seller just wanted to pay off some medical bills, so they worked about a payment plan and the buyer paid it down (seller gave credit toward down payment at closing I presume).

If you are considering it for an alternative to a 401k there was also mention on one of the podcasts or blog posts of using HSA medical account contributions which can grow tax free for medical expenses later in life when these costs will be higher, downside might be that the companies you have them with might not offer many investment options so the return might not be as good as your options in a standard investment account even taking the taxes into consideration.
