I'd like to get a couple contractors over to the place to give me some preliminary bids and see what they think actually needs to be done. 

Thank you i noticed most do not bid because they are worried about the entire estate or trust being contacted. 

Fred, "Thumbtack" is an app I used on my first deal and have recommended to people where you can post what you need done and local people bid on the job.

I have one rental, and just recently won a bid for SFR at Dallas County Sheriff's Tax sale, sold the property within a month after realizing liens and redemptions.

We are knee deep into a second projecxt and recently won a bid for a third and are looking for a 4th. 

Almost every property on the docket went to premium bids, some as high as 10,000 to 47,000 on a 7600 tax lien. 

Home warranty companies suck..... they will send the cheapest bidding company to come over and do the crapiest job possible to band aid the issue, and you will still pay a fee for it.

Got a bid from Window company in my area, WeatherTite Windows for supplying the windows only. 

If available you submit your bid price according to the pricing guidance provided by the note seller, eg. it can be 50% of UPB but you may submit a little less than that, i usually do. 

I'm curious to know what people's personal experience has been getting such bids for free.
