I know I can get it done at half the costs and be in compliance so long as I have a 1) solid operating agreement and 2) a registered agent that is not me so that I have legal anonymity. 

If the public record is not sufficient for you, then the property owner is looking for a degree of anonymity. 

I did not go through the hassles of containment, anonymity, multilayers, entity-owning entity, internally scrubbing the temporary manager on the operating agreement, etc...

Still, I've chosen to maintain anonymity on this site, just in case.

I am considering, for anonymity purposes, in which my rental in CA is owned by a CA operating company LLC and rather than listing me as the member, WY holding company LLC will be listed as the member.

There is no shortage of content on the benefits of a Land Trust but I am curious as to whether there is truly an anonymity shield created by using one, especially in TX. 

I didn’t think it all the way through, with regard to how easy it would be to fabricate “reviews” by populating with anonymous email addresses.

If manager-managed, did you use a nominee service to serve as the manager for complete anonymity?

So im seeing people use WY holding companies as the owner to maintain anonymity.

And LLCs add some distance identity-wise, all the way up to complete anonymity in some US states.
