Assisted living facilities are turning in the keys to the lenders and just spoke to an attorney yesterday who has seem a huge spike in self storage defaulted loans in rural areas.

That means we’ve got a lot more downside in prices.This seems like one of the less regulated FOMO STR markets that spiked over the last few years.

A real estate agent told me there was a spike in prices during the summer of over valuation and they are seeing it come down due to high interest rates and buyers hesitant to purchase at this point!  

Nothing major, I believe there has been a spike in crime because of covid-19 and people, mostly kids, have nothing to do.

My question is this - with rates spiking and deals in general grinding to a halt, how much additional leverage is there for buyers?

Jackson County Missouri tax assessments went out and some property owners saw huge increases - were talking CRAZY HUGE SPIKES for some. 

As rates rise, home prices will become more affordable to offset the spike.

This isn't the same as normal course of business and should not be treated as such.I think that instead of digging in our heels to pretend this is no big deal or digging in our heels to panic - there is a median we should follow that should have us all push for a more innovative approach to this that helps us all.
