I am pretty sure that after all of these problems on our end are settled, we will be back to being as rational as it can be.

@James Woodrich, nice to see some rational thought being applied to this industry, as there has been so much "over exuberance" of late and, imho, a lot of mistakes have been made lately, probably due to the 10 years of artificially low rates that have been imposed on us.

When making trivial purchases, moving your checking account towards zero is much easier to rationalize than increasing your already negative HELOC balance.

And checking anger can help with the rationality needed in these situations.Can you post the state the property is in, so that people in your farm area can give you specific resources?

Rational is it promotes additional housing.  

The city is rationally protecting its citizens, most of whom bear the costs of legalizing short term rentals, over the interests of the landlords, AirBNB-type companies and tourists.I think AirBNB makes more sense in vacation communities or areas that don't have a problem with sky-high rents. 

Right now companies are rationing out their headcount as we speak, hoping a pivot can make them do less.

It is rational for them to do the minimum amount of work possible to get paid.

I wouldn't let your pride get in the way of a rational decision.
