Once the match is maxed out however, I see little point in continuing to contribute to the 401(k) for a 20 something that is going all-out in the pursuit of early financial freedom, as they will have much more flexibility with after-tax wealth that they can deploy immediately.Furthermore, retirement plans and their effectiveness in the pursuit of early financial freedom are all about your INTENT in how you use them.

I will continue my pursuits there and hope to build a successful business that will allow me to spend less of my time at my J.O.B. and more of my time doing the things that really matter to me.

Many investors would make more money investing their time in other pursuits; so they're willing to pay someone to do the legwork.

To my mind, those are the elements that make business worthy of lifelong pursuit.
