There are two different markets and products, Large REIT and mom/pop.

@Caroline PowellAs long as the final product ends up being a residential 1-4 unit property where the primary borrower intends to reside in one of the units as their primary residence for 1 year, then you can do an FHA loan on it ... including the FHA 203k. 

I like the product but their policies drowning them down in competition.

I have submitted a rebuttal but I am ready to go another route whether that is ordering another one if it comes to it or looking for another lender or product.

Really, I was just looking for a review of the product, though.

@Jill DavisTypically banks (depository institutions) are most competitive with jumbo since these programs are typically portfolio products.

Their whole product is dreadful, the UX sucks on mobile and on an actual computer, and honestly the only thing they were ever good for was the electronic signing of documents and no one NEEDS them for that.

Its a smart product that gives protection beyond the usual investment.
