We currently live in Metairie, which is a suburb in New Orleans, and are currently looking to put an offer on a duplex that is listed at $175,000 in a medium demand area.

Currently living in New Orleans as an engineer, but don't see myself here long term as there are limited opportunities here in my industry. 

They experienced that over in New Orleans, when the city levy work all held up just fine but the flooding happened upstream, in places like Laplace and Reserve.I did a flip on a house off Westheimer & Eldridge, and I was required to buy flood insurance.

New Orleans has still not truly recovered from Hurricane Katrina.
