Hey guys, I am a licensed realtor in CT and MA, looking to get licensed in NY as well now.

I’m an agent in Rochester NY as well and also bought my first house hack (duplex) about a year ago.

I have a feeling there is going to be a lot of this in CT / MA / NY as eviction moratoriums finish up and landlords in these states can begin evictions - most realizing they will never get a dime in back rent.Welcome to the big leagues!

But i live in NY, a few hours away from Binghamton and I am looking into getting into real estate in the area.

We are in NY, a very tenant-friendly state but in an area where rents are very high.

Thanks @Charlie FitzgeraldI talked to another BP member via PM and they stated that foreclosures can take forever in NY as well as NJ.

What mainly concerns me is the fact that I've heard about a few states (NY as an example) who have banned short term rentals, and the fact that it could possibly happen soon in CA (?)

I'm not sure she works in Denver, but she was very helpful in directing me to the right resources to find a good PM in Buffalo, NY, a market I know she doesn't know.  

In NY, a buyer or seller must be represented by a lawyer for any RE transaction. 

I recently purchased a house in Greenwood Lake, NY as my first home @ 300k.
