Like Tom Hanks found out in "Castaway", 1) make the time to go to the dentist when something first starts to hurt and 2) yes, you can do your own dentistry work but its gonna hurt.

Currently there is vinyl installed and would be looking to have it removed and fiber cement installed.

I should have mentioned that the foundation is part fieldstone and part cement block.

I've heard of it being done in a steel mill water reclamation system where the original cast iron piping was rotting out inside of cement floors etc due to the corrosive/leeching by incoming low pH waste water.

There's a lot of room in that sentence for underwriter's discretion and that's where they get to make up their own rules and cement them with precedence.Stephanie
