My ultimate goal with real estate would be to have enough passive income to be able to provide extremely low priced apartments to refugees (they then could concentrate their very low income on getting diplomas to break the poverty cycle they usually get into when they arrive) and to fund a NGO to help them settle and get a good start in their new host country. 

If Florida continues to draw migrating boomers  and state tax refugees it should be a good market.

There is the Egyptian billionaire who wants to buy an island from Italy so all the Syrian refugees can move there and he is even going to employ them!  

You (and I) could be the smartest person in a hunger ravaged refugee camp in a war-torn country and would not get far in life.
