Would you be open to chatting on the phone ?

.- When I called the brokerage admin to let them know I had quit the team and to change my status to solo agent, they said their system shows me as a solo agent and that the TL never submitted paperwork to add me as being part of their team.

Introductory calls are "networking by phone" I have a 3 year old daughter with sole custody.

You don't ever want to double book and have to cancel one of them.And the guest giving a phone number in the first message like in your original post is against the rules and the guest knows it. 

@Jorge Vazquez we stopped doing signs over 10 years ago.We had a separate phone number on our signs, so were able to track traffic & applications from them.We were getting more & BETTER leads from our online ads then the signs - so an easy choice to stop using them (also time & money savings).

My experience with friends/some clients is get their numbers via whatever method you can and reach out via the phone.

For example, say I have a foreclosure, or expired listing lead that I would like to find accurate phone numbers for for prospecting.

Last time I did that, years ago, I got off the phone and figured it out myself. 

I’m not a big phone guy but I’d be happy to reply over and over to DMs or emails. 

I recorded a virtual tour on my cell phone because I was getting tour requests I couldn't fulfill, but no one has asked to see the property since I made the recording.
