They’ve likely invested a considerable amount of time and money into it.

Hi Buck, It can be tricky to project revenue for a unique property like a lakeside one in an area with mostly lower-level STRs.

It would be unique and the views sound really cool but this would be similar to rent camping.I believe this would be a small niche group that would be interested in this.

The Disney/Orlando market is vast, and it's unrealistic to believe you can buy a home that is already nicely decorated with "typical" theming, in a resort area with hundreds of similar homes -- and expect exceptional performance.So how do you find/or create uniqueness in this market?

Either be super budget, or be something unique or high-end. 

Concepts like sub-to agreements or leasing to STR operators sound appealing but require careful consideration of the risks involved.
