You can also tell her to call the utility company about the best way to save, as turning off heat and on is not efficient having to run longer blasting out cold air as opposed to leaving it set at a lower temp. :)

I recommend two accounts: checking and savings.

I have had my butt saved many times by attorneys and I am grateful for that.

Even I can do it, and I am generally the most unhandy person on the planet!  

I MAYBE could understand if they just hadn't gotten around to having automated credit card tracking like every other accounting software on the planet, but to not even have the option to track them manually is ludicrous.  

Their property sat vacant for a few months while their guy "saved them money".
