Patricia,I wouldn’t rely solely on the seller’s agent, as they are only sharing information provided by the seller and represent the seller’s interests, not yours.

However, when I requested our EIN the letter stated, "Based on the information received from you or your representative, you must file the following forms by the dates shown.

Not necessarily to represent buyers and sellers but more so for my own research.

Permission to show: Say you have a seller is willing to sell a property but they don't want it listed and don't want to be represented.
