Looking for high equity growth areas is a bit of a gamble.

The property was in a great market but needed full cosmetic rehab and a basement finish to add an additional bedroom which in return would bring up resale value.

Is this price differential largely a matter of how high-end you make the finishes?

Now that we are entering February, we will soon have the new data showing how we finished in January.

The house includes high-end upgrades such as custom cabinetry, granite countertops and energy efficient appliances.

Look and finishes would be similar although lot is quite a bit longer on the property I'm looking at, about 3x the length of that property.

It is right near the hospital and now Mass Gen bought out Wentworth Douglass Hospital so our units are in high demand.

Unfortunately, timing was about 2 months late and the market went dormant for larger homes in our area around late August when we had the home finished.

On the flip side, the margins aren’t quite as high as with rehab projects.
