I would also recommend the RPOA meetings here in Grand Rapids.

West Valley cities like Buckeye and Avondale, East Valley spots like Apache Junction and Mesa, or growing areas like Casa Grande and Maricopa are worth exploring.

Over the phone (because I was on vacation), I called him and told him he needed to return everything or I would file grand larceny charges.  

I'm looking for some advice on investing in Michigan generally, and/or Grand Rapids, MI specifically. 

Maybe they don't need the money now but in 5 years they wan to send a grand child to college.

I like the tub (it wasn't cheap, about 12 grand) but there's not great service options where I live and not sure if I would get it again since I mostly have to take care of it. 

If I had $100k to buy an investment property and wanted at least break even on cash flow I would buy a new build in Casa Grande.

There are a few in my area that I keep an eye on to see how successful they might be and I’m always looking for properties with potential to be something grand.

Relatively small amounts of interest income ($1600+ per year) is the highest taxed form of income I have found if you have kids at home.After earning a few grand in interest, It takes away my child tax credits and gives me an effective tax rate of 70%.   

County earned $75 grand on that one.
