There are options you can invest in such as oil and gas, datacenters etc. that typically provide significant depreciation.

There is a huge gain probably in a more efficient gas system then oil so they are already getting some cost savings. 

It won't be the same as an oil shock, dot-com bust, GFC, or COVID, but something will happen.
