We are thinking about building a property for an STR in the Catskills, NY region on a quiet secluded 7 Acre plot, but have been wavering between 3 types of builds.1.

Hi @Jamie Brayton I'm Brooklyn based but investing upstate, Catskills area. 

The Catskills area is in deed very hot, I have sent an offer this week for $50k above asking price for a great Turnkey STR just two days on the market and the seller already accepted an offer. 

We are renovating a home in the Catskills and stuck on what railing to install on our outdoor deck—cable or metal.  

I'm particularly interested in the Poconos and Upstate NY (Catskills region).Outside of real estate, I enjoy working as a mental health therapist and traveling the world with my family!

Portions of the Catskills & Adirondacks are good locations, as well as Saratoga (if you can find an affordable property).

A recent client of ours owns a home in Valley Stream and also has a STR in the Catskills (Napanoch).

We rented a house located on a pond in the Catskills for the last week in July.  

Ended up buying a property in the Catskills and will be restocking pennies for a FL property next.re: Windsor Hills, it ultimately just felt a bit run down to me.

Location: Catskill MountainsI've paused on investing through them for now, mostly because I have other investments that are doing so much better, although the appreciation on the Charlotte property is pretty impressive.
