The Alchemist  - Paulo CoelhoI know this is not a book you would expect to see on this list but it has thought me that you need to enjoy the journey & sometimes you don't need to travel the whole world for the things you are looking for.

Some of the most influential books in my life have been 4 Hour Workweek by Tim Ferris, The Alchemist by Paulo Coelho, and How to Win Friends and Influence People by Dale Carnegie.

Hi @Aaron Bryson, and fellow BP friends,I am really amazed by your post.I am from Brazil and, although I have been several times to Rio de Janeiro I don't live there (I'm in São Paulo).Before I give my thoughts about your investment I would like to give general data about Brazil (and its real estate market):Yes, it is a great time for foreigners to invest in Brazil.

You never know, you might just across a good deal through your network.As far as books go here are some of my favorite books (real estate and non real estate related):-Rich Dad Poor Dad (of course)-The Book on Real Estate Investing with Low and No Money Down-Finding and Funding Great Deals (I’m going through this one right now)Non Real Estate Related:-Principles by Ray Dalio-Relentless by Tim Grover-The Alchemist by Paulo Coelho (this is my all time favorite and read it twice a year)
