I've been using "Wiskers" color code #531-4 any one can mix it, in any type of paint semi gloss, flat, eggshell, latex or enamel. its a grey tan color.. is amazing blends well with any tone carpet or wood floor and the white trim really is awesome.

You could use an enamel paint for metal to make it match the walls or trim and secure it with some good brackets and long screws into studs on the walls.

Sometimes "Magic Eraser" works well on vinyl, plastic, and enamel where other cleansers fail.Consider that the next tenant will also put down a bath mat and cover it up... problem solved?!
