Forced air is the way to go to prevent stagnant air build up and to prevent mold/moisture problems.

Due to this failed communication over the first 2 years of use the floor failed by the front and back door due to moisture getting under the floor where the tenants tracked in snow.

Out here in Reno, NV in most older homes the basement was never meant to be occupied and can be subject to moisture creep, flooding, or mold.  

Hi Everyone, Do you guys know about the best equipment that is not crazy expensive to detect if a wall is humid? Do infra red thermal cameras work for that?Open to any and every suggestions, Thanks in advance! 

Most types of toxic mold develop from a water or moisture source. 

I have, although, seen some laminates that are not very moisture friendly and will swell at the seams over time just from damp mopping and they will scratch rather easily.

Lastly, once the walls are installed, pack out the rest of the studs using1/4" plywood to account for the nailing flange, then use green board ( moisture resistant Sheetrock)to finish
