The one issue I have with Houston is that it's  geographically located in a region that in the future, will most likely see more powerful and frequent hurricanes and flooding due to climate change / global warming.

Occupancy depends on the property and you.Location, amenities, pricing relative to other simular properties, pictures, description, reviews etc will all contribute to your occupancy levels.

Many listings now specify "no love letters please" in the listing description or offer submission guidelines, and we're not seeing them nearly as much anymore.

As in one of the comments, apart from geographic location of these lands, other social factors can determine the growth of real estate to mention, literacy leves ,GDP , urbanization, government policy, political stability and the like.
