They were pretty reasonable compared to Post Card Mania which is an awesome company but found the same product for cheaper and locally.

There's nothing wrong with renting when it's the cheaper option.

Sometimes subcontractors are cheaper but many general contractors will not work with them. 

You either need more income, cheaper duplexes, more years, less expenses, or some combination of all. 

I invest out in the AV area as it is cheaper and cash flow is better than here in the main county.  

Having this in mind, I'm having a hard time deciding if I should purchase a more expensive (160k-190k), new property Triplex (built within 2 years or purchasing a property that is cheaper (120k-150k), already tenanted but it is only a duplex. 

Are rehabs that much cheaper in other parts of the country?

You'll find most things are cheaper than you'd expect to replace or update.

I know you can get away with Class C units in other ski towns as there are always folks looking for cheaper housing but it doesn't seem to fit with Aspen.

The other advantage is you can access it all form your phone or tablet and send it all to one location.In reality it is cheaper to use a subscription of $80 a year vs the $500 it use to be.
