My guess is that if you do call them they could have some sort of protocol that might trigger some of that investment paperwork... but as far as I know, mortgages are sort of “at that time” type of instruments.

The fact that the interest rate that had the highest number of bids this year was 5% vs. 7% having the highest number of bids last year - proved out that investors were settling for lower rates in 2014 than 2013.Until interest rates start ticking up for other low risk instruments I think we'll see these low rates in tax liens.
