I think I'm emotionally tied to them because I've had them for so long. 

I got no notice about this, I just saw it when I was doing my monthly managing of books.Since this happened on a weekend when I couldn't really reach anyone it made me go through a range of emotions including anger and fear.

I don’t want to make an emotional decision because of the house being in the family but to me it also looks like a great deal on paper.

I've been reading, listening, and self educating through BP over the past couple years and have recently taken that first scary/exciting/emotional roller coaster of a step and purchased my first duplex out of state.

($200 cash flow once I'm out)I feel like i'm over paying a little for the property but it's getting a fully renovated apartment + new roof down to the studs, and an unfinished potential 3rd bedroom in the basement of my unit that can be finished over time to eventually get more rent.Taking the emotion out of it, do you think this deal is good enough to go through with the contract given the circumstances? 

It will become an emotion-fed entrenched position by tenants.  

Too much emotion involved?

I like to keep up-to-date numbers I would sell at to take the emotion out of an offer when it does come around.
