My lasting advice is- always get referrals from other buyers of a company (rather than people promoting the company) and don't ever feel like you need to jump out of a situation really until money needs to be put on the table.

I don't think the promotion of their ebooks and Pro memberships are "GURU" upselling at all.  

I can't comment question #1 because if self promotion rules. #2 - You can partner your IRA/solo k with any person/entity but it's important that your plan funds to operate separately (side-by-side).

My experience with Tax lien course promoters it they overplay the advantages and underplay the risks. 

To promote an event, you'd do so in our Events and Happenings Forum (regardless of whether the event is for profit).  

I have found that a lot of gurus... errrrr.. coaches... promote strategies that sound great on paper....

You would act simply as an investor and promoter. 

It looks like your primary method of communication is via your website, so promote that.
